The Louisiana Folklife Survey is an ongoing project of the Louisiana Folklife Program which seeks out traditional artists and communities and documents them through interview, tape, and/or film. The Louisiana Folklife Survey Form can be used by professional folklorists and community members. The form enables us to gather information about individuals in a simple, straightforward manner. One outcome of this folklife survey work is the Baton Rouge Traditions website which presents an online book complilation of 39 essays, which offer a glimpse of this metropolitan area that is the state's capital. There is also information about the traveling exhibit which includes the Baton Rouge Traditions Quilt made by 76 local contributers.
