The Main branch of the East Baton Rouge Parish library system is a Louisiana Government Documents Core Depository which means we currently persistently hold 36 different state documents that are updated at regular intervals. The core document collection includes titles such as the Louisiana Administrative Code, Louisiana Economic Outlook, and the Louisiana Energy Facts Annual.
Other Items to be found in the Government Documents Section include:
- Laws: The Government Documents Section of the library houses copies of Louisiana Civil and Criminal Codes.
- Flood Collection: The library contains a collection of flood related documents including pamphlets, guidelines and reports.
- Public Notices: Current and past Public Notices are available for review to encourage public comment and to make people aware of meetings.
- Environmental Permits/Assessments: A number of permits and assessments filed with the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality regarding the impacts of local facilities are available. Items that we do not have physical copies of can be found online. (See the How Do I Guide)
