Library resources to assist non-profits

Consultations with a Librarian

The library has a variety of free tools that can help you start and manage a nonprofit. Get in touch and arrange a consultation with a business librarian to see what the library can do for you. This service is free. To access the online resources on this guide, you will need a library card.

Staff can come out and meet with you and customize what we have to match your unique needs.

To set up a consultation or ask a question email: smallbusiness@ebrpl.com or call 225-231-3750.

The Community Information Database

Need an English tutor? Looking for a gardening club? Contact information for the Office of Family Support?

The perfect place to look is our Community Information Database where we have compiled lists of clubs, agencies, support groups and more that serve the Greater Baton Rouge area. Each entry includes contact information, a description of services provided and the hours of operation or meeting times.

Gale Business: Plan Builder (Formerly called Gale Small Business Builder)

Gale Business: Plan Builder is a step-by-step online planning tool for starting, managing and optimizing a business or nonprofit. The program’s intuitive dashboard walks users through five areas of exploration to develop a business plan focused on long-term success.
