Special Accommodations

If you are Deaf or Hard-of-Hearing, please contact us so that we can contact our ASL interpreter. We must have notification at least 72 hours in advance to ensure that the interpreter is able to attend. Send an email to Jessica McDaniel (jmcdaniel@ebrpl.com) or submit your request by phone at 225-231-3710.

Per our policy, the library also welcomes service, assistance and emotional support animals. 

If you have any trouble or difficulty at the Mid City Micro-Con and you wish to discuss it with with a staff member in private, let us know. The Mid City Micro-Con committee members will be wearing badges and name tags for the entire duration of the event.

Digital Accessibility

We want to make sure Microcon accessible to everyone! In addition to all of the library's public access computers, we also have free wi-fi! If you need earbuds, the library has a limited supply of free earbuds. If you need any technical assistance with viewing presentations or workshops, please send us an email at midcitymicrocon@gmail.com. 

We will also have closed captioning on all live/recorded sessions and transcripts will be available after the videos have been uploaded.

Physical Layout

The Main Library at Goodwood is an ADA compliant building. There are multiple wheelchair access parking spots, ADA compliant restrooms, and three elevators on the first floor. For your convenience, please see the map below of the first and second floors of the building.
