The Mid City Micro-Con is an annual event organized by the East Baton Rouge Parish Library which celebrates diverse and inclusive comics, creators, and fans. We strive to connect our EBR community to local creators and amplify voices in comics and fandoms to highlight authentic and positive representation and storytelling.

Game Tournament Rules

Tournament begins at 1pm on Saturday, August 5!

It will take place in the Teen room at the Main Library on Goodwood as a part of the Mid City Micro-Con. 

Sign up HERE to play Street Fighter 6 on PS4, Tekken 7 on PS4 or Super Smash Bros. Ultimate on Switch. 

**If possible, please bring your own stick/controller. We will have some on hand for those who cannot bring their own**

Tournament Rules

STREET FIGHTER 6 - PS4 

12pm Registration Double Elimination All Normal Matches are 3/5 Finals are 3/5 All characters are legal Winner is character locked but not variation locked In the event of not reaching a normal size bracket of 8 players, we will run it round robin style

 

TEKKEN 7 - PS4

12pm Registration Double Elimination Normal Matches are 2/3 Finals are 3/5 All characters are legal. Winner is character locked In the event of not reaching a normal size bracket of 8 players, we will run it round robin style

 

SUPER SMASH BROS ULTIMATE - Switch

12pm Registration Double Elimination

Ruleset: 3 Stock Time Limit: 6-8 minutes Items: Off Stage Selection: Anyone Stage Hazard Toggle: Off Final Smash Meter: Off Spirits: Off [1] Damage Handicap: Off First to: 1 Win Launch Rate: 1.0x Underdog Boost: Off Score Display: Off % Show Damage: Yes Custom Balance: Off Echo Fighters: Separate Radar: Big Mii Fighters and their respective custom moves are allowed. Movesets will be shown in their name with each individual special move numbered from 1 to 3, based on the order shown on the move selection screen (ex. 1111, 2223, 3121). Similar to previous Smash titles, if time runs out, the winner is first determined by how many stocks remain, and then by the percentage after time is up. If both stock and percentage are the same, or a game ends in both players losing their last stock at the same time, then a tiebreaker is played, which consists of a 1 stock and 3 minute match with the same characters and the same stage.
