Mid City Micro-Con 2019: Building Worlds, Breaking Molds: FAQ

Mid City Micro-Con: Building Worlds, Breaking Molds FAQ

F.A.Q.

How much does this event cost?

It's free! There will be no charge to attend panels, workshops, film screenings, presentations, etc. We do, however, recommend bringing cash for the arts & comics market.

Where do I park?

We are very fortunate to have a large parking lot at the East Baton Rouge Parish Library at Goodwood. Bring a friend and park in one of our designated high occupancy spaces!

Are children welcome?

Children are welcome; however, adults should use their discretion when deciding whether or not this event is appropriate for the children in their care. We are adding several more all-ages events to the 2019 program.

It's possible to use this event to spark meaningful conversations with your child or to develop a shared interest. That said, some panels and presentations may delve into mature topics and some vendors may have materials that some adults will not find suitable for the children in their care. We ask you to exercise your judgment on your child's maturity level as well as your own comfort level with the content. As the event draws nearer, we will identify vendors, comic book titles, and programs that are more "kid-friendly" on this InfoGuide and in the event program. Artists will be instructed not to prominently display any material that is not family-friendly. If you have further questions or concerns, feel free to contact Nicollette Davis at 225-274-4450 or email her at ndavis@ebrpl.com.

Will there be food?

Food trucks will be present at the event.

How do I register for the cosplay competition?

The 2019 cosplay competition will be a hallway competition, so no registration is required. More info will be added soon.

How do I sign up for a workshop?

Workshop sign-up sheets will be posted on the doors of their respective conference rooms on the second floor of the library at the start of the event. Workshop times and size limits will be posted on the schedule nearer to the event.

Where can I learn more about the guests?

We'll be adding brief bios for each of our guests soon, as well as linking to their websites. Please be advised that the library is not affiliated with our guests' websites in any capacity and is not responsible for their content.

My question wasn't answered here. Who can I ask?

Please direct all questions to Nicollette Davis and she'll be glad to answer any questions in regards to the Micro Con! You can send her an email at ndavis@ebrpl.com or call her at 225-274-4450.
