The designated quiet and safe space for this event is the Special Collections Department. If you need to take a break from all of the sights and sounds, please feel free to decompress in the quiet room. It is located on the second floor of the library, on the east side of the floor. There is also another quiet reading space located in the non-fiction section. If you need assistance finding these spaces at the event, please see a library staff member. We'd be glad to escort you to one of the quiet spaces.
If you are Deaf or Hard-of-Hearing, please contact us so that we can contact our ASL interpreter. We must have notification at least 72 hours in advance to ensure that the interpreter is able to attend. Send an email to Jessica McDaniel (firstname.lastname@example.org) or submit your request by phone at 225-231-3710.
Per our policy, the library also welcomes service, assistance and emotional support animals.
If you have any trouble or difficulty at the Mid City Micro-Con and you wish to discuss it with with a staff member in private, let us know. The Mid City Micro-Con committee members will be wearing badges and name tags for the entire duration of the event.
