  • The library provides basic materials for 3D printing, laser cutting, sewing, and vinyl cutting. All materials brought in are subject to staff or instructor approval before being used.
  • Costs vary by consumables used, see consumable pricing and eligible free consumables.
  • The Makerspace has Open Time for the community to work with the equipment.

  • Assistance with projects made in Open Time or during reservations are all subject to staff or instructor availability.
  • It is required that long hair must be pulled back into a bun or ponytail so that it cannot be pulled into equipment. It is recommended that patrons do not wear extremely loose-fitting clothing for the same reason. It is also required to wear close-toed shoes when in the Makerspace.
  • The library provides personal protection equipment (PPE) for your use. While operating some equipment like the CNC machine, staff will require PPE use.
  • No Food or Drink permitted in the Makerspace or recording studio.
  • Please keep in mind that other makers will use this space and equipment. Please treat equipment with respect and care so that others may use it. We ask that you clean as you go and return items to their original, designated areas and stations.

To use the equipment and materials in the River Center Branch Makerspace, all patrons are required to complete and sign the EBRPL Makerspace User Agreement. Designated equipment requires training before use. To use the equipment without directed supervision, patrons must successfully pass a badging practical for that equipment. See  the badging process and procedures at https://bit.ly/RCBMakerBadgingClassesHome

Please note, in addition to the general policies, individual Makerspaces may have specific procedures and policies. Please check each branch location for guidelines.
