Scattered around the library are pictures of detectives from Children's literature... Detective LaRue, Nate the Great, Sammy Keyes, Nancy Drew, and more! Come to the Children's Desk to pick up a clue sheet... do you think you can find them all?
Children 5 and up are also invited to be Book Detectives at the Jones Creek Regional Branch all through the month of March 2019: using a code with numbers 1/26 and letters A-Z, children will "detect" the titles of 15 children's books!

Teens will get the chance to work with other teens to put together all the clues, eliminate red herrings, and solve the mystery. And since crime-solving is such hard work, the detectives who correctly solve the case will get a yummy reward!

Teens are invited to the Sherlock Holmes Teen Escape Room March 16 at 3pm at the Jones Creek Regional Branch. The game's afoot and the safe is locked - can you find a solve a series of clues within a set time limit to solve the case?
“Sherlock Holmes as Portrayed by Sidney Paget” will be at the Bluebonnet Regional Branch Library exhibit space from March 6 through March 31. This display features drawings by Sidney Paget, the original illustrator of the Sherlock Holmes stories published in The Strand magazine.
“Who’s Your Holmes? : Depictions and Adaptations of Sherlock Holmes and The Hound of the Baskervilles” is a mini-exhibit that will be on display at LSU’s Hill Memorial Library from February 25 through May 31. See a promotional piece about the exhibit in inRegister magazine here.
